Day 1 Cochin
You are picked up from the airport / rly. stn or any location in Cochin to experience the best of Kerala. Known as the Queen of the Arabian Sea it is the heart of God’s Own Country and also the center of business and commercial establishments.
Check in to your hotel, be at leisure and Get ready for your sightseeing trip to Fort Cochin, Mattancherry, Spice Markets, Antique Shopping, Jewish Synagogue, St Francis Basilica, Dutch Palace, Vasco Da Gama Square and Chinese Fishing Nets. Return to the hotel in the evening.
Day 2 Munnar
After breakfast proceed to Munnar, where sprawling tea plantations, picture book towns, winding lanes, trekking and holiday facilities make it a unique experience. This hill station was once the summer resort of the erstwhile british empire in south India.
Check in to your resort and get ready for the special trip to Pothamedu for an excellent view of the tea, coffee and cardamom plantations in Munnar. The breathtaking scenery here is ideal for trekking and long mountain walks. Return to the resort in the evening.
Day 3 Munnar
This morning after breakfast, visit Mattupetty famous for its highly specialized dairy farm, the Indo-Swiss live stock project. Onwards from the farm you proceed to Mattupetty lake and dam, which is a very beautiful picnic spot. You could enjoy boating in the lake and view mountains and landscapes from afar.
Onwards proceed to Echo point famous for the natural echo phenomenon and then to Top Station offering marvellous views of Munnar valley below. Return to the resort and enjoy the facilities at your resort.
Day 4 Periyar
Get ready after breakfast for your morning drive to Periyar nestled in spice and rubber plantations. Known to be Kerala’s pride and testimony to nature’s splendour, Periyar has a lot to offer in terms of wildlife.
Periyar is famous for its rare habitat of birds and animals and is one of the most popular destinations for nature lovers. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 5 Periyar
Today you are now all set for a sightseeing tour by motorboat to watch the wild life mainly wild elephants in herds. Other than wild elephants, you may also catch sight of Tigers, Bison, Spotted deer, Gaur and other animals.
This is the only sanctuary in India where you can have the unique experience of viewing wildlife at close quarters from the safety of a boat on the lake. Enjoy the sights and sounds of this wonderful sanctuary. Return to your resort in the evening.
Day 6 Kumarakom
This morning after breakfast get ready for your drive to Kumarakom. The village of Kumarakom is a cluster of Classic Kerala Package,Classic Kerala Tour little islands and this small water world is part of the Kuttanad region. A picturesque, clean village, Kumarakom is a tiny hamlet on the banks of a lagoon formed by the Vembanad lake.
Check in to your resort where calm, emerald backwaters reflect hundreds of thousands of gently swaying palms where the primary attraction however, is its lazy ambience. Enjoy the sunset cruise in the evening.
Day 7 Kumarakom
Today visit the bird sanctuary of Kumarakom and explore a whole new world of feathered species. For an inquisitive bird watcher it is an ideal place that echoes with the chirping of birds including a variety of migratory birds.
Take a walk around the sanctuary while experiencing the sights and sounds of these birds. Kumarakom offers visitors many other leisure options. Either you are free at leisure, or enjoy the backwaters with paddleboats, canoe and Kayaks at the lagoon available at the resort.
Day 8 Cochin
After breakfast you may visit the Hill Palace, the largest archaeological museum in Kerala sprawled over 52 acres of beautifully landscaped terraced land which houses a deer park and facilities for horse riding. Numerous species of flora including rare medicinal plants grow here. Later in the evening join the cultural program of classical dance with its ancient dance forms that throw light on the splendid heritage and culture of Kerala. Spend the night at the hotel.
Day 9
After breakfast you could try your hands at various games your resort has to offer.
