Welcome to Vardhman's "Exotic Tamilnadu Tour". On arrival in Chennai, you will be met and transferred by Vardhman's representative to your hotel.

Day 2: Chennai - Mahabalipuram
This morning after breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Chennai.
Visit museum to see the Art and Bronze Gallery. (Closed on Fridays and Public holidays). Drive through the Flower and Fruit market, High court, Fort Museum, Marina Beach, San Thome Cathedral and Snake Park. Afternoon drive to Mahabalipuram. Upon arrival at Mahabalipuram check into your hotel.

Day 3: Mahabalipuram -Kanchipuram -Mahabalipuram
After breakfast visit Mahabalipuram and Kanchipuram.
Visit Mahabalipuram.The city of Mahabalipuram is famous for the seven pagodas. Here on the seashore is an interesting group of ancient rock hewn temples which are the examples of Dravidian style of Architecture.
Later Visit Kanchipuram Kanchipuram is the ancient capital of the Pallavas famous as a city of 1000 Temples and still has 124 shrines. The first temple dedicated to Shiva was built in the 7th and 8th century and has paintings on the walls.
Temples of Ekambaswara, Kailasanatha, Sri Kamakshi and Varadarajaswamy are of interest. Kanchipuram is also famous for its silks.
Evening drive back to Mahabalipuram.

Day 4: Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry - Tanjore
This morning drive to Tanjore. Enroute visit Pondicherry.
Pondicherry: Although the French influence is gradually fading, Pondicherry retains a few Gallic accents. Pondicherry's main sights are the Rai Nivas, the Sacred Heart Church and the Sri Aurobindo Ashram. The ashram retreat was founded in 1926 by Sri Aurobindo after whose death the spiritual authority passed to one of his disciples, a French woman known as the Mother.
The Mother was also instrumental in founding the city of Dawn Auroville, 10 km from Pondicherry. Its original charter aimed at creating a city of the future where people from India and abroad could live and work together in a spiritual environment.

Day 5: Tanjore - Trichy - Tamilnadu Tour Package
After breakfast proceed on a city tour of Tanjore.
Visit the Brihadeshwara Temple, a typical architecture from the 11th century. Later visit the Saraswati Mahal Library, Chola Temple ect.
Afternoon drive to Trichy. Upon arrival at Trichy check into your hotel.
Later visit Srirangam and Rock Fort temple. Overnight :Hotel
Day 6: Trichy - Madurai
This morning drive to Madurai. Upon arrival at Madurai check into your hotel.
Visit Meenakshi temple (dedicated to the consort of Lord Shiva with its towering GOPURAMS) .Watch the evening AARTI at Meenakshi Temple.

Day 7: Madurai
After breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Madurai.
Visit the Tirumala Nayak Palace – a gracious building in the Indo-Saracenic style, famous for the stucco work on its domes and arches and Dravidian temple complex.Aftrernoon at leisure.

Day 8: Madurai - Periyar
This morning after breakfast drive to Periyar. Upon arrival at Periyar check into your hotel.

After breakfast visit Periyar Wild Life Sanctuary, Murikkudy, Pandikuzhy etc.
Afternoon boat cruise on Lake Periyar.

Day 10: Periyar - Kumarakom
After breakfast drive to Kumarakom. Reach and visit the Bird Sanctuary. Proceed to the Vembanand Lake. The backwaters of Kerala are a unique product of Kerala and are found nowhere else in the world. Kumarakom Backwaters too are a network of lakes, canals and estuaries and deltas of forty-four rivers that drain into the Arabian Sea. The backwaters of Kerala are a self supporting Eco-system teeming with aquatic life. The canals connect the villages together and are still used for local transport. Over 900 km of this labyrinthine water world is navigable. Check into your hotel.

Day 11: Kumarakom - Alleppey - Cochin
This morning visit Cruise through the backwaters to Alleppey. Kumarakom backwaters are there to silently embark the beauty signals spotted by the God of Nature. Disembark the houseboat at Alleppey & drive to Cochin.
Upon arrival at Cochin check into your hotel.

Day 12: Cochin
After breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Cochin.
Visit Spice & Fish market, Dutch Palace, Jewish Synagogue, St.Francis Church, Bolghatty, Gunda and Willington Islands, Mattancherry Palace. Evening enjoy Kathakali dance performance.
