Marari Beach
The
picturesque Marari Beach gets its name from the small yet enchanting
Mararikulam Village, where life goes on slowly in a laid back manner
unaware of the cities getting hitech by every passing minute. The setting
of the village looks straight out of a classic movie where the prime
occupation of the people continues to be fishing and villagers can be
commonly sighted with their nets, moving towards the sea. The beach
covered with silvery sand and lined with endless coconut palms is a new
addition to the tourist hot spots of Kerala.
The unmatched experience of moving along the banks of the rippling
backwaters and an eye soothing sight of lush green fields make this place
a traveller's paradise. The thundering sound of giant sea waves splashing
along the rocks with all their might is a sight not to be missed.
At the Marari Beach, you can get involved in a number of activities such
as surfing, para sailing and water skiing. Strolling on the beach trying
to absorb the surroundings is a great experience to unwind your fatigued
bodies. The more sports savvy people can team up and try out their skills
at a game of beach volleyball.
